Mike Beckwith is another of the long time bowyers who has been there and done that. Mike has his home and shop in Erie, Colorado, 45 minutes north of the Denver metro area. Most Colorado traditional archers know and respect the Hawk recurve.
Mike hosts Monday night in-door traditional 3-D shoots at his spacious shop/outbuilding during the winter. Mike was the first man in Colorado to take a Shirus moose with a recurve bow (a Hawk of course). A great feature of Mike's bows is that any set of Hawk limbs will fit any riser, no matter the age. Though the Hawk Recurve is a fully custom bow, the limb bed is made from a template insuring the versatility of changing limbs with a perfect fit every time. Mike is another who was making and selling bows, before the resurgence of the traditional archery that we have all come to love.
