Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear got its start in 1995. Back then, in Denver, if you wanted to buy a quality knife, backpack, or set of binoculars the nearest Cabela's was in Sidney, NE. This was the primary reason RMSG was started. We are a niche store specializing in quality hunting products related to traditional archery.
Since the shop's beginnings we have built one of the best knife shops in Denver. We currently have over 200 bows in stock and most any other product you would need related to traditional archery.
Meet our staff: |
| Tom: Tom started RMSG from the ground up. Thousands and thousands of arrows later he has been blessed with many true friendships and is fortunate to enjoy life in a great atmosphere every day. Tom has been bow hunting since 1976 and shooting a traditional bow since 1982. He has successfully hunted many species with the stick and string.

| Tommy: Tommy is Tom's oldest son. After graduting from the University of Wisconsin and getting married in July of 08, Tommy and his wife moved back to Colorado. While in college he was a 2X NCAA DI All-American wrestler. Since moving home Tommy has been able to spend time at the shop and is primarily working on the website. Tommy and his brother Danny have been terrorizing squirrels since they were old enough to pull a bow back. Their early squirrel hunting days were the beginning of a passion for both archery and bowhunting which still exists strong. |
Danny: Tom's youngest son Danny has grown up with a bow in his hand his entire life. He has recently started spending as much time as he can here at the shop. Danny works as a fly fishing guide in the summers, and a full time hunter in the fall. No, but seriously, Danny just returned home from college at the University of Wisconsin where he wrestled for the Badgers. Danny has a passion for bowhunting that rivals most any. His knowledge and passion are a great fit at RMSG, and part of what makes this place what it is.

| Bert: Bert started working at RMSG several years ago. His good natured personality, along with the razzing he gives and takes (mostly gives), adds to the
comradery we all share. He has been shooting traditional archery for umpteen years - don't believe me, just look at all that white hair. Bert is getting close to retirement and won't be as regular at the shop. The time he has put in the last few years was a tremendous asset to us.
| Chris: Tom's wife Chris has always had a passion for the outdoors. Chris loves to hunt with her husband and sons and has been hunting with a Wapiti Recurve for the past 20 years. Without Chris RMSG would not exist.

| Tracy: Tracy literally grew up with a life centered around traditional archery. Bob Gulliksen (his father) has one of the finest broadhead collections in the country. Tracy has taught all of our arrow makers the finer points of perfecting their skills. He is one of the top shooters in the region and is an accomplished bowhunter. We found Tracy to be a great bowhunting partner and a tremendous resource to the shop. When we have an order for a special set of arrows, Tracy is our man. He can be found at the shop most Saturdays.
| Chad: Tom's nephew Chad has had a recurve or a longbow in his hand his whole life. He worked for RMSG for several years and is still around on occasion. Chad married into a great family and moved to McCook, NE, which greatly suits his outdoor lifestyle. Chad is still a delight to have in the shop and is part of our family. |
Andy: Andy worked for RMSG for years and is still a part of RMSG in many ways. Andy grew up a fly fishing and waterfowl hunting enthusiast along with traditional archery. Andy isn't in the shop as often as he once was but is still a part of the family, and an excellent fletcher.
